A collaboration to support future collaborations.
The aim of this project is to promote collaborative research with West African plant researchers. This database was originally established as a collaboration between the University of Nottingham, UK, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Kumasi), Ghana, with funding from a BBSRC GCRF BBR award 2018-2019. We have catalogued plants native to West Africa or which have proposed uses in West Africa, for example as medicines, crop protectants, insect repellents, cosmetics etc. All entries are supported by samples for research held by contributing researchers.
Researchers, or anyone else with an interest in West African plant products, are encouraged to get in touch with ideas for collaborative projects.
